Shifter

"Throw me to the wolves and I will return their Alpha."

Identifying the differences between a shifter and a human may come as a challenge, as they can so closely resemble their human counterparts; the main variances being beast-like features and the personality to match. Agile and lethal, Shifters have a variety of attributes that range anywhere from sharp/elongated teeth to pointed ears and sometimes fur. It is because of these traits that they are robust and much more resilient than they may appear. Unlike Lupinians and the extinct Lycan, Shifters have the capability of morphing specific body parts to exhibit more animal-like characteristics (Eyes/Claws/Teeth), rather than having to fully shift. Though in most instances, due to their territorial and aggressive personalities, it results in them fully shifting to their animal form. Within Xandara, there are three Shifter Clans: Lupine, Feline, and Ursine. Within each clan houses diverse variations that individuals are derived and can shift into. The Lupines, with the ability to shift into wolves, foxes, and even hyenas. The Felines, varying from house cats to leopards. Then the Ursine, with your expected Black Bears, Brown Bears, and Polar Bear. Like their natural counterparts, it is rare to find a mixture of each clan living with one another though this divide is not created out of disrespect. Shifters heavily rely on natural instinct and the beast within. It is said, that many have a second-self within them; an animalistic version of themselves that they are constantly at war with.
