The Leonin are a race of powerful and proud humanoids that reside in the plains and mountains of Xandara. They resemble great lions, with thick golden fur, sharp claws, and gleaming fangs. They live in close knit communities with their own kind, often resembling dynamics similar to the wild lions you know and love. Despite their way of living, they are fiercely independent, but incredibly loyal, with a deep sense of honor and duty. They are led by strong and charismatic leaders who represent them within the Court of Virtues, and are respected and admired by all. To Leonin, pride is everything. They take great pride in their appearance, grooming themselves meticulously and adorning themselves with fine jewelry and clothing. They also take great pride in their accomplishments, whether it be a successful hunt or a great victory in battle. Despite their fierce reputation, the Leonin have a deep sense of justice and fairness. They believe in the concept of the pack, and will go to great lengths to protect their own, and the court they call home. They also value wisdom and knowledge, and have a great respect for those who possess them. The Leonin are a people of great passion and emotion. Their appearance includes a wide range of natural colored fur, with males having long well maintained luxurious manes often used to boost their status or dominance over other males. Their eyes can range from any color, and their size towers with males standing an average of seven feet tall, with females typically around six feet.
