Befittingly titled "Silk Tongues", the Oni rely on their intelligence and riddle making skills to form Aether binding contracts, forcing others to serve within the Court of Shadows. Historically the Oni have made it clear they wish to have no involvement in the political affairs nor the social past times of other courts. While some may label them as one of Xandara's Enslavers, these ancient Fae haven't risen to the top off of pure luck and power alone. With thousands of languages behind their lips and knowledge lost since Xandara's beginning, the Oni are a race to heed any warning of. The Court of Shadows was founded by the Oni, whom to this day, hold the crown dutifully and willingly.  

 

Their appearance:

Occasionally confused with a Tiefling, the Oni's horns protrude from the front of their skull, rather than laterally on either side. Their horns vary in size and speak of a story only their suitor can tell. Some horns have been seen protruding nearly 18 inches in length, while others only have one horn or the base of one. An Oni's natural appearance hold tough, blood red skin. Those with significantly more Aether are able to mask this appearance to seem more elf or Fae like. The hair ranges from black or brown, to white or gray. Male Oni tend to be larger in stature and weight compared to their female counter parts who are shorter and fair; do not let this convince you females are weaker.
